Double D was founded in 1978 and operates from a 40,000 square foot factory near Edinburgh in Scotland. Here, a 70-strong team of skilled CAD-CAM designers, engineers and food technology specialists design and manufacture a range of custom-built ovens, cookers, char grilling units and smokers which are built to meet exact specifications, both for major players and small operators.

Founded in 1978, Double D has built a reputation for engineering excellence and for consistency in the quality, reliability and versatility of its products. The company also invests heavily in new technology as part of its commitment to respond to the increasingly complex demands of the food industry.

In May 2009 Double D became a division of JBT FoodTech, a leading global technology solutions provider to the food processing industry.
