Richard Burke and Byron Davies from BFS Europe Limited, based in Leeds and Milton Keynes, are now agents for Double D’s range of multi-purpose cookers, travelling cookers, steam cookers and char grilling units, covering the whole of the UK and Ireland. They will also be supporting Double D’s product development team in garnering customers’ views on what they specifically require in terms of new or modified further processing equipment. A mechanical engineer by profession, Richard Burke has over 28 years’ experience of cooking technology, and an in-depth knowledge of the food equipment business. Before co-founding BFS Europe with Byron in 2003 he worked for other major companies in the food processing industry within the UK, Ireland and throughout the rest of the world. Byron Davies has been involved in the food industry for 30 years. He started life in the meat trade as a meat technologist then moved into equipment sales. He went on to found Davron Systems Ltd in 2002, a sales and marketing operation offering complete food processing applications from preparation to packaging. Commenting on the appointment, Bob Petrie, Double D’s managing director, said: “Like us, Richard and Byron can see the UK market potential for Double D’s range of specialist food processing equipment. This is a key area of expansion for us which will be significantly boosted by Richard and Byron’s unrivalled experience and expertise.” |
